Why domains?
Easy to tell! Domains are limited like gold, bitcoin or real estate, i.e. the demand is always greater than the supply. Every business and every company, even every food truck needs a domain. As
soon as a company wants to operate internationally, it needs the .COM domain. Why? In the Superbowl the most expensive advertising slots are due. The biggest crowd in the world perceives your
offer at that moment in the scarce attention economy and should remember it. There is the example in which a company advertised with a .cc domain. The company lost 32% of traffic because users
entered a .com domain. The fact is that from 2021 to 2026, the number of businesses will increase fivefold. And the shift from offline to online will continue to grow, with the number of
quick-to-deploy store solutions like Shopivy increasing exponentially and the number of people who will get Internet access also increasing six-fold by 2030. Specifically, the demand for .com
domains will increase sharply.
How much is a domain worth?
That depends on the buyer. A house is only worth as much as the potential new owner is willing to pay. However, some factors have emerged from history: .COM domains are by far the most valuable.
Why? Unlike .de domains, which should only be used in Germany, .at domains in Austria etc., .com domains can be used worldwide. The bottleneck: they are limited, so new companies and brands have
to secure longer and longer unpronounceable domains for new landing pages, causally short domains become more and more valuable. Two-character .COM domains are always worth over $5 million,
three-character .COM domains between $350,000 and $1 million. .COM domains with up to five letters are the most valuable. The following applies: the shorter the domain, the more valuable it is;
it must be easy to remember, it must be pronounceable by a child, it must have radio potential (Hair, Her, Here), it must not contain umlauts, no hyphens, no special characters, should correspond
to one or two short words, which make the content of the domain directly clear...(Below you will find a list of the most valuable domain sales to date). Attention by the way with domains, which
companies have registered as a trademark, here it often happens that the companies sue. This is then decided in the UDRP procedure at the CAC. If you want to know more about domain trading,

For Startups:
Most of my domains start from a XX.XXX,XX amount. So if you are planning a startup, respectively a business, where one of my domains fits perfectly, but you are still in the seed phase, then I
will gladly support you with advice and offer the domain against equity. Historical example: You want to buy the domain Senioritas.de, but you are financially limited. Then we fix the domain
price at e.g.. 25.000 €. In the first year you pay nothing, in the second year the domain would cost 25.000 € or in the third year 45.000 €. If your startup has to be liquidated, you have to pay
back the domain, so you don't bear any risk. Furthermore I offer domains against equity, for example 5% as ESOP or similar. So you can start directly without costs and have your desired domain...

An advertising slot on the radio costs on average 500 USD; so if you use four a day x 30 days, the budget is 60,000 USD. So the listener should be able to remember your domain. A TV commercial
costs an average of one million Euros, the viewer should be able to remember your domain. So what is 10,000 USD or more in relation to your marketing investment?
A suitable domain has two huge advantages for you:
- cheaper retargeting costs: if the user can remember your brand, respectively domain, this saves retargeting costs. It significantly increases your brand penetration, facilitates the referral
rate and prevents that you have to acquire the potential customer again via Google or Facebook with toll, causally the customer does not become unprofitable from the second order and the customer
generates a negative EBIT, causally the CLV remains unprofitable, e.g. because the customer has forgotten your brand or URL. You save brand campaigns!
- a good domain creates a significantly higher click-through rate (CTR) for advertisements and thus increases the conversion per campaign, thus saving cash....
Example: Christmas . com was sold on 11/30/2020 for $3,150,000 USD to the largest seller of Christmas products in the USA. You think the domain sale is too high? That is nonsense. The domain fits
the brand perfectly, saves millions of dollars in marketing for retargeting, increases efficiency for return visitors and also serves as a protection purchase from competition.
Never forget this before we get into the conversation....
